In our world, there's not much worse than telling potential registrants - who are DESPERATE to play - that an event has been sold out for several days/weeks, only to have previously registered players cancel their team or individual registrations afterwards (and well after those later inquiring players/captains found something far less fun to do - or had their teammates scatter in the meantime).
Or - just as problematic - is the scenario where we spend countless days/hours using social media posts and emails to build a league to a certain 'schedule-friendly' number (i.e. with no teams sitting off), only to have players/teams cancel at the last minute, rendering all of our roster/league building useless - and creating even more work at an already hectic time.
Bottom line: cancellations cause significant issues for everyone and have a negative impact on league numbers & scheduling, so teams sit off more often...or - in the case of teams we build for individuals - have incomplete rosters at the beginning of a session.
So, in an effort to combat this rapidly
growing problem, we are adopting a
think TWICE, click ONCE policy designed to ensure that all registrants GENUINELY want the spots they're taking off the market and aren't casual or barely interested players/parents who are more apt to 'change their minds' later on.
So, while this policy states that
refunds will not be granted in future for any reason, teams/players/parents looking to cancel their registrations can now TRANSFER THEIR SPOTS using the specific rules and processes outlined in our new
Registration Transfers Facebook group, designed to help those who, essentially, need to sell their spot to someone else (in a safe way).
We recommend that ALL INVADO PLAYERS JOIN THIS NEW GROUP asap because it will be a great place to find spots in leagues that sell out fast AND - of course - serve as a handy marketplace in case YOU'RE ever the one who ever needs to sell your spot in one of our leagues!
So, we'll see you all on the courts real soon - and please be sure to think TWICE before hitting the register button for any and all Invado events...effective immediately!
